Leon
Coldero was born in Trinidad and Tobago and
started entertaining at the early age of five years
old. He is certainly no stranger to the stage and has
over the years graced the music industry with superb
performances throughout the Caribbean, Canada, the United
States, and Europe.
Dubbed The Original Winer Boy, he has
held close to his heart the world of Soca, which he
has uniquely flavored with his reggae crossover. Coldero's
name signals pure excitement, superb entertainment,
and an energy that emanates throughout every performance.
His talent has touched many throughout the music community
with former tour and band performances with the famed
Byron Lee and the Dragonaires. Coldero was also the
lead singer for the renowned Sound Revolution band that
released the popular song Shake It in 1985.
Following a successful relationship
with Sound Revolution, Coldero relocated to Canada in
1986 to perform with the Toronto based Soca Reggae Band
Brass Trazx. He brought his unique style and energy
to the cities of Canada where he performed with the
renowned pop Diva Debra Cox. After successful lead singing
roles, Coldero embarked on the inevitable he launched
his solo career in 1991 in the great city of Miami.
He released his first self-titled album in 1993 that
was followed by Mind Your Business in 1994. His success
did not end there as he was nominated the most promising
So ca artist in 1995 at the Soca Monarch Competition.
Coldero further endorsed his notoriety with the release
of his 1995 album Full Swing featuring the well received
hit single Your Turn to Wine.
In 1997 Leon Coldero was nominated Soca
Male Artist of the Year for his smash hits Bicycle and
Rain. His album titled Strictly Soca was nominated runner-up
for best selling album in 1998.
Coldero continued his trend of musical
excellence into the new millennium; the formation of
his new hit band Code-868 propelled him to new heights.
The band's energy and awesome presentation electrifies
every performance, providing an experience never to
be forgotten; in addition to his new band, Coldero released
two new albums Miles Ahead, featuring the hit song Soufriere,
and Big Appetite featuring hits such as Boxing, Sugar
Cane, and the title track Big Appetite. Leon Coldero
is synonymous with energy, quality, and excitement,
and promises performances second to none in the entertainment
